At Mara Bridal, we believe finding your dream dress should feel personal, exciting, and unforgettable. Located in historic downtown Charles City, our boutique offers a welcoming and elegant setting where each appointment is centered around you, your style, and your vision. We offer online booking for Brides, Mothers, Prom, & Tuxedo/Suit appointments.
During this Initial Bridal Gown Appointment, you will have an hour and a half to browse our bridal gown inventory, and relax in one of our bridal fitting suites with your family and friends, while they enjoy your big day! - Complimentary 90 minute Appointment - Includes a one-on-one consultation with one of our incredible personal stylists. - Invite up to 6 guests to join you in your bridal suite. (1.5 Hours)
VIB Appointments are available outside of our normal store hours. You will have the boutique to yourself, with your own personal stylist, sweets, treats, and a bottle of bubbly for your party when you say yes! The cost for this appointment type is $150. If your dress purchase that day exceeds $1000, half of your appointment fee ($75) will be credited to your gown. This appointment will be 2 hours. VIB Appointments are available at 10 am, 12 pm, or 2 pm on Sundays. (2 Hours)
If you need a second look to narrow down your bridal gown choice, schedule your follow-up bridal appointment to confirm your bridal gown purchase and complete your measurements. (1 Hour)
Once your bridal gown has arrived, schedule a time to try it on! If you're interested in accessorizing your gown during this appointment (with a veil, headpiece, jewelry, etc.) or if you'd like to browse any of our other collections like mother's gowns, flower girls or tuxedos, please make a note in your appointment request form. (30 - 60 Minutes)
Throughout the year our store holds different events where we offer different appointment types for off-the-rack gown sales, such as the National Bridal Sale. You may see appointment types like 1-Hour Appointment, or Anniversary Sale Appointment. These experiences are fast-paced and aim to find you the best dress at the best price in a shorter amount of time. (1 Hour)
This appointment is to drop off your item at Mara to be steamed. We offer streaming services for wedding dresses, bridesmaids, mothers, flower girl dresses, and prom dresses, as well as veils. We recommend having your gown steamed between 1-3 days ahead of your wedding so scheduling this appointment with that timeframe in mind makes the most sense. Once you drop off your item we will schedule another appointment for pick up.
This appointment is for the bride who has already purchased her gown, and now wants to work 1 on 1 with a stylist to find all the perfect accessories, including veil, headpiece, jewelry, undergarments, etc. (45 Minutes)
This appointment involves the wedding couple working together with one of our menswear stylists to register the wedding party, and put together the perfect look for your wedding day. (1 Hour)
This appointment is for one client to be measured for their suit/tuxedo. We recommend that you be measured for your formalwear 30-60 days before the event date to ensure the most accurate fit. Coming with more than one? Please submit this in your appointment notes, and we will work to accommodate. (30 Minutes)
This 30-minute FaceTime or Zoom consultation will allow you to meet a Mara tuxedo stylist and discuss your ideas for your groom and his party. This fully online tuxedo option will include everything from measurements to payment, delivery, and easy rental returns. (30 Minutes)
This appointment is for the client who is attending a formal event such as a gala, prom, or other black-tie event. It includes choosing a style and being measured for the garment. (30 Minutes)
This appointment is for the client who is trying on their suit or tuxedo, assessing for final alterations, and completing payment. This appointment generally happens the week of the event. Please do not book this appointment until you have received communication that your garment has arrived. If you are booking this appointment for more than one person, please mention that in the notes.(30 Minutes)
This appointment is for a Mother of the Wedding, Grandmother of the Wedding, Gala or Black-Tie, or Wedding Guest to work one-on-one with a stylist in a private fitting suite, to find their gown. (1 Hour)
During the prom dress appointment you will have up to 90 minutes in a private fitting room, working with a stylist, to find your prom gown! (1.5 Hours)
This appointment is for the client who is trying on their suit or tuxedo, assessing for final alterations, and completing payment. This appointment generally happens the week of the event.
